Kata Hay is no stranger to the stage. Having started her entertainment career at the tender age of just 2 years old, she has been in the spotlight ever since. From beauty pageants and rodeo's in her toddler years, Five International Yodeling Championships, to singing for all of America on critically acclaimed music television shows, Kata is a seasoned veteran in the musical realm.
From humble beginnings in Skiatook, Oklahoma, Ms. Hay’s background is rooted in Country Western classics. Having first debuted her talents singing Hank Williams’ “Hey Good Lookin’”. Kata soon became the youngest person to win Ed McMahon's Star Search at age 5. She's filled cases with accolades such as the AWA's Rising Star, IBMF's Songwriter of The Year and is a member of the Oklahoma Opry Hall of Fame.
Having experience traveling and touring in both the U.K. and Australia, Kata is a natural born entertainer. Her high energy is contagious and can’t help but grab the attention of any audience. Musically, Kata has transformed from the day’s opening for the likes of Riders In the Sky and Wanda Jackson to finding her own sound. She cleverly meshes her Western influences with a modern edge of rock, country and blues while still retaining a rootsy Americana feel to it all.
Kata has shared the stage with the likes of Taylor Swift, Cyndi Lauper, Gavin Degraw, Gretchen Wilson, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire and Merle Haggard, but the highlight of Ms. Hay's career was when she was able to showcase her talents on season 10 of the Voice with the help of pop sensation, Christina Aguilera. Ending up making it to the Top 20.
Kata has spent the past few years growing, writing, touring and preparing for the next big adventure. Wanna tag along? Make sure and follow all the socials!
